Hello, and Welcome to day 8 of the
Only 4 more days to go!
Got a Ugly Christmas Sweater Party to go to?
Don't feel like sifting through the Goodwill piles?
Don't want a cheap Walmart kind that half the people at the party might possibly have?
I don't blame, you.
That's why I made my own!
I have my work Christmas Party next weekend, and the winner of the Ugliest Sweater wins a prize, YAY!
So lets begin...
I started out just buying a plain
white sweat shirt, its by Hanes.
I would have preferred Red or Green, but they were out.
Hmm, maybe I'm not the only planning on making my own.
Then as I was sifting through my box of
vintage fabric that my wonderful
Grandma gave me [insert happiness],
I found this wonderful material that
all I had to do was cut out the tree!
Then I scrounged up some
accessories to go with it!
I cut my tree out, pinned it down and sewed it all the way around.
I was going to just glue it down with fabric glue but I couldn't find my bottle [insert frustration].
That's ok, after sewing it, I was glad I spent the extra few minutes doing it. This way it won't be going anywhere!
Anyhow, it screamed tacky, so I just had to add it!
This was another great find in the box of fabric my Grandma gave me!
Now its sewn on.
And what tree would be complete without
a tree topper?
So lets add this big red bow, and some pom-poms and bells to the rest of the tree.
For the pom-pom and bells I ended up hot gluing them on, lets hope they stay on through out the entire party.
And here you have it!
Pardon my chopped off head, my face and hair were in no shape for picture taking.
What do you think? Do you think I'll win?
By the way, because I already had the fabric and accessories, this UGLY Sweater only cost me $6.46.
You can't beat that!
Thanks for tuning in!
Until Next Time...
