Hello, and Welcome to day 10 of the
Only 2 more days left!
Today's post is a kid friendly recipe.
Let's face it, the kids get bored during Christmas vacation, and start to drive Mom a little bonkers.
Am I right?
Even though they won't always admit it, kids have fun in the kitchen helping out.
My kids love bragging to our relatives that they made it.
Today, we're making Sausage Cheeseballs!
These are also a great alternative to the diabetic whom you don't won't to give cookies to.
You will need:
2 cups of Bisquick
(or generic All-Purpose Baking)
8 oz. block of mild cheddar cheese
1 pound of Jimmy Dean Breakfast Sausage
(Jimmy Dean seems to have the best Flavor)
Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
Shred your cheese
(do not buy the already shredded kind as it will not taste as good)
Then add your cheese, sausage
and bisquick together.
Get your hands in there and mix it all up.
When it seems like it won't mix all together, add just a drop or two of water, and mix again. You'll have to keep adding a few drops here and there until you can finally mix it all together.
This is what it should look like.
Then get your lovely assistant to help
roll them balls.
My flash batteries has died at this point
and I'm using the regular built in flash [insert sigh].
Now bake these suckers for 15 minutes.
Then check to see if they look golden brown, if not let them bake another 5 minutes.
And now their done.
Just make sure not to eat them all,
save some for your family and friends.
Thanks so much for tuning in!
Until Next Time...
