My daughter is growing like a weed.
Clothes are expensive.
If I sell her jeans I may get a $1 or less.
Or instead of buying shorts that costs
$15 or more, I can just make them
from her jeans.
It's a win, win, just a little bit of sewing and
I'm not spending money, and I am certainly not loosing money.
For these jeans I cut them just below the knee.
Of course I had my daughter try them on and then pinned where they needed to be cut.
For the trim, I just so happened to have this belt that I wasn't using.
The pattern is so cute, I could just envision it on the shorts.
Cut and measure around the shorts, and then sew the ends together.
Then the trim onto the shorts.
I sewed it onto the top of the trim and again on the bottom of the trim.
And that's it, a new pair of shorts!
And now for some more shorts...
And now how about some Capri's?
Keep it folded and sew right at the hem line.
Cut and sew a zig zag pattern to keep the ends from fraying.
And now she has a pair of capri's with them original hem.
Thanks for tuning in!
Until Next Time...
