Father's Day Gift Ideas

Father's Day is soon approaching!

It's time to put on our thinking caps and come of up with some fabulous gifts to show our fathers (or father of our children) just how much we care about them.
Let's show them how much we love them for all diapers they changed without being asked, for pushing the kids in their strollers and swings, for all the bandages he stuck on skinned up knees and for whistling and applauding the loudest at their kindergarten programs.
I want to thank my Daddy for always taking the time to make me laugh, throw me on his shoulders, and take me for donuts on Monday mornings (as a kid of course).

I am tearing up just thinking about all the sweet things he did for me when I was a kid, and now he does so much for his grand babies.
A Huge thank you to my husband, for being involved in our children's lives just as much as I do as a mom. I think sometimes he does it better than me.

He has always loved our children unconditionally, and spends a huge amount of time with them!
Thank you to all you Fathers!

You have given us  a priceless gift!

So what can you give him for being such a great Dad?

Here are some ideas that are sure to put a smile on his face and make him proud to be a "Father"!

1) Personalized Photo Father's Day Card

Nothing says I love you more, than a photo card, and Shutterfly has a great selection of templates!

2) Hand Tools in a Crate

My husband says he loves tools as much as
I love crafting. Well if that's the case
this is a "Must Give" gift!

Cheryl over at Snaps of Ginger put together this crate of tools. She painted it with RIT Dye, she added a measuring tape on the outside and some Vinyl Lettering.
I saw some nude crates this size at Michael's the other day, and they were only $9.99, and you could use a 40% coupon too and get it even cheaper!

3) Personalized Photo Mug

I love this idea, Grandpa's love coffee and sentimental gifts, like this  Photo I love Grandpa mug!  You could also get one that says Dad too!

4) Grilling Utensils

Another one of those things that guys go ga-ga over is
Grilling Utensils.

I guess its like the things us women love to buy for baking.

I just love this idea from Sazzydealz
Just get a spatula and put a cute tag on,
and you're sure to put a smile on his face!

And while we're talking Barbecue...
I don't know what Dad wouldn't love a personalized Apron!

That's my husband on the apron, doesn't he looks manly?

6) Chore Coupon Book

Coupon books aren't just for moms,
Dad's love them too!

In fact, the kids and I made this book
that we're going to give to my husband
(their dad) this Father's Day!

7) Cell Phone Photo Case

I know for a fact any dad would love this.
I made one for my husband two years ago,
and he still uses it today!

8) Gift Basket Full of Goodies

Seriously, this is one of the cutest gift baskets for
Father's Day by Pretty Providence!
It can be for a Grandpa or Dad.

Who wouldn't enjoy a basket filled with wonderful
"Pop inspired goodies"?

We'll just have to fight the temptation
not to eat it before he does.

A Perfect gift for the Dad who has an office desk!
All Dads love to show off their kids,
and these custom blocks so classy!

10) Super Dad Cape

I saved this one for last because it just melts my heart!
What a SUPER idea, this mom came up with on Raising Lemons.
She got capes for her husband and son,
and had a Super Dad theme party.
I love this idea, and the party ideas are endless!
And I know that "SUPER DAD" will probably be
"Emotional Dad" as they get to wear their matching capes!

Father's Day is just around
the corner on June 15th!

Thanks for tuning in!
Until Next Time...

I have a wonderful new giveaway from

Jennifer from RedPisces

I learned to crochet and craft as a very young child and to this day I LOVE IT! I am always excited to try new things out on people to see if they are winners. I welcome comments as it can only help me improve. My crocheted items are all made with LOVE. I love things made out of other materials, recycled or old items, to make new and much wanted items that people will sure to love for themselves or as gifts for others.                         ALL of my items are made and stored in a SMOKE-FREE environment.
I have new things in the works all the time. I am NOW WORKING ON LUSCIOUS SOAPS...
bars, CUPCAKES, shampoo, lotions and  BATH BOMBS! I am loving it!

I am a nurse and mom to 2 boys who are the "SUNSHINE OF MY LIFE", we live with my awe-inspiring musician partner. My almost 92 year old dad just passed and I was his 24/7 caregiver, loving every minute we spent together, he passed in peace and is with my loving mom now, "Happily Ever After". I am a stay at home mom/caregiver at this time (although will be returning to work soon) and needed an outlet for my creativity...ETSY! I hope to be very successful as I am having tremendous pleasure in creating these awesome items.

My other shop is www.RedPiscesVintage.etsy.com I will have it up and running hopefully by summer 2014.

Welcome to my Shop: Decadent Handcrafted BATH and BODY Products, Baby/Child items, OOAK Party FAVORS, many items Crocheted with LOVE:

My products make excellent OOAK gifts and I can make a custom order of a gift box for your special someone...JUST CONVO ME.

Jennifer has been kind enough to giveaway this fabulous gift set!

You will receive one of each item. A sample of my “Pure Natural Soap” bar soap, a sample of my “Goat’s milk soap” bar soap,
a crocheted wash cloth, a mini bath bomb, a sample of my
“bath salts”.

This Pure Natural soap bar has no additives; only saponified oils, no scent, no herbs. Each bar is handmade in small batches with high quality all natural vegan oils, saponified with sodium hydroxide and distilled water, hand cut so no two bars are the same, and left to cure for at least 8 weeks (as with ALL my soap bars and cupcakes). This ensures a longer lasting bar of soap. Each bar is hand packaged and labeled with all ingredients. Handmade soap should be kept on a well drained soap dish to extend the life of the soap. When sitting in water the soap will tend to get soft and mushy, and thus have a shorter use life.

This listing is for one luxurious sample bar of soap approximately 1oz. Made with Organic Goats Milk; Olive, Coconut, Rice Bran, Palm, and Castor Oils, Shea Butter, and is unscented. Each bar is hand packaged and labeled with all ingredients.

Crochet Wash Cloths - 100% Cotton - 100% cotton soft and natural crochet wash cloths are great for bath time. Easy care as they are machine washable which soften with each wash and last for a very long time! GO GREEN and save money with these wonderfully soft cloths. They are approximately 7" square. They are machine wash and dry.

Delight your BODY, MIND, and SENSES: Remember, cupcakes don’t always mean extra calories! These are just pure GOODNESS. Your skin will LOVE the TREAT. You will receive one mini ULTRASOFT-NING Bath Bomb. Approximately 2oz of DELICIOUS DECADENCE! I use only the BEST oils. These babies are sure to make you relax and unwind in a nice hot bath! Fizzy bubbles and luxurious oils with delicious scents to entice the mind. What a great TREAT for yourself or to give as a gift. Awesome as a special gift for a friend, family, teacher, neighbor, mail carrier, coworker…and the list goes on. Anyone would LOVE to receive this wonderful gift.

You will also receive 2oz of Pink Sugar luxurious bath salts made with Dead Sea Salts, Epsom salts, and beautiful ROSE PETALS to relax and detoxify your tired body. These are nicely scented, bagged, and tied with a pretty ribbon and label. This item is MADE TO ORDER to remain fresh. TO USE: sprinkle the entire package of bath salts in your warm/hot bath water, RELAX and ENJOY! BE CAREFUL ENTERING/EXITING TUB, MAY BE SLIPPERY FROM OILS.

This ULTRA DECADENT WHIPPED BODY BUTTER will soothe and PAMPER your parched skin with LUXURIOUS RICHNESS to HYDRATE, NOURISH, and MOISTURIZE. Once you try this intensive butter you won’t want any other! Handcrafted in small batches, using only the BEST oils of Pumpkin Seed and vitamin E, never any harsh chemicals. No Paraben, No gluten, No Propylparaben, No propylene glycol, No methylparaben found in many others. Just what is BEST for your body, natural ingredients. You will find that a little of this Ultra RICH Body Butter will go a long way.

Thanks for tuning in!
Until next time...

Red, White, and Blue Pillow

pillow, memorial day, july 4th, flag day, independence day, tutorial

Happy Memorial Day Everyone! I hope you are all enjoying your day off!

Today, is also...

Please welcome,
 Ginger from
Gingerly Made

I'm Ginger from Gingerly Made where you can find tons of creative tutorials for
"Crafts, Food, and Family."

Hey Crafty Allie Readers!
Happy Memorial Day!

I'm so excited to be here sharing a patriotic red, white & blue envelope pillow with you today!

pillow, memorial day, july 4th, flag day, independence day, tutorial

Although you probably don't have time to pull this project off before your cook out this afternoon (unless you're ambitious and have nothing else to do), you can make this easy pillow to decorate for Flag Day or July 4th which are both coming up soon.

Ok, so let's get to it!

I used a 18" x 18" pillow form. Measurements can be adjusted for smaller pillows.

Supplies:
2 strips red fabric: 3.5" x 19"
2 strips white fabric: 3.5" x 19"
1 strip blue fabric: 6.5" x 19"
2 blocks blue fabric: 12" x 19"

Embroider or stencil your design on the blue fabric strip. I found this embroidery pattern here.

Sew your strips together in a red, white, blue, white, red pattern. Use an iron and press your seams.

Next take your two blocks of 12" x 19" blue fabric and on the wrong side of each fold down 1/2 an inch along one of the 19" lengths.
Press. Fold down again.
Press. Stitch down.
Happy Memorial Day, everyone! Hope everyone is enjoying their day off!
This seam creates the finished edges of the envelope back of the pillow.

Now layer all of your pieces right sides together.

Pin in place. Sew around.

Trim your corners and excess. Turn inside out and stuff with your pillow form.

Now you have a new piece of patriotic decor to remind you of the freedom we have every day and the people who have sacrificed to make it so.

I'd love if you stopped by Gingerly Made sometime. You can follow me on Facebook, Twitter, and Pinterest too.
