12 Days of Christmas, Day 5: Pumpkin Pie Dip

Good Morning, and Happy Tuesday!

Welcome to Day 5 of the
12 Days of Christmas Series!

My family can’t WAIT until Christmas,
which is just around the corner.
They LOVE to eat anything pumpkin, and for all of you with similar taste, then you'll for sure want to make your family and friends today's  post :
delish Pumpkin Pie Dip!

 This unique pumpkin treat came
from my friend Minnou.
She's not a blogger yet. And I say yet, because hopefully after today's post she'll have the courage to venture out here in blogger land!

Minnou first served this at her Thanksgiving Dinner and her guests loved it so much they are requesting  it again for Christmas.

The best part (well besides how yummy it is),
is how simple it is to make.
Four essential ingredients and you can add ginger snap or graham cookies, apple or pear slices to scoop up the dip when it's done.

 Here is what you need:
 8 oz cream cheese
2 cups powdered sugar
1 15 oz pumpkin pie filling
1 tsp cinnamon
Ginger snaps, graham crackers,
pear or apple slices if desired

It will serve 10 easily as an appetizer or just
 as an anytime fun dip.

And the simple directions are:

In a food processor or mixer, combine cream cheese and sugar.
Mix until smooth.
Then add pumpkin pie filling, cinnamon and mix until smooth.

Cover and chill for 6-8 hours (or put in the freezer for 1hr and next fridge for a couple of hours).
Serve with ginger snaps or graham cookies
 to scoop and dip with.

Minnou's family has a sweet tooth, so she
served it with mini ginger snap cookies.

Both kids and adults will love this.
It’s a great way to introduce kids to new foods and pumpkin is an excellent source of vitamin A, good for eye health...

… but mostly this dip is just plain good to eat and oh-so easy to prepare and perfect to make with your kids helping and joining in!

Enjoy!

Minnou is a full time teacher in a very busy preschool in the Ft. Lauderdale area. She works with a lot of special needs children, once a banker, but now she has a much more enriching life working with kids than the corporate world can provide!

Thank you so much Minnou for providing such a yummy recipe!

and Thank YOU for tuning in!
Until Next time...
