Burlap Laundry Room Sign

Hello, all, after a week long break, I am finally ready to post again.
I made this sign for my mom for Christmas. She specifically asked back at the beginning of November for me to make her a Laundry sign for Christmas. I barely got it done it time, but I did and still got it to her by Christmas day, yay!

I started out by buying a stretched burlap canvas. I bought it at Walmart for only $5.
Canvas Corp Stretched Burlap, 8" x 8"
I believe though I got the 8 1/2 by 11 size.
Not bad at all for that price. You normally can't even buy cut wood at a craft store that size for that price.

I started by cutting our the words on my cricut machine with vinyl adhesive.
I used two different fonts.
I punched out the letters and stuck the stencil part on the canvas.
I have no idea why I put the OR like that in the first picture. But I stopped and moved it. I gotta say, too I rushed this project so it would be ready to wrap on Christmas eve. When you place it on the canvas, make sure to stick it on there really good and push up on the burlap from the back side to make sure it sticks. Also be sure to save the triangles, half circles and circles in the A's, D's, R's and O's.

Then I painted it with a black brown color. As  you can see by the photo. I wasn't very careful. I just wanted to make sure I painted it to where the vinyl stuck on there as I painted it.

And there you have it. The longest process was punching out the letters, and waiting for the paint to dry. To cut the letters, punch out the letters, laying them on the canvas and painting it only took about an hour.
It may have been a little less, I had a few interruptions.

My mom loved it and had forgotten all about asking for it. I can't wait to make some more signs now with the stretched burlap canvas!

I let it dry for about 10 hours just to be on the safe side, but it seemed to be dry after 6.

Thanks for tuning in! Until next time...
