Soft Plush Knitted Baby Blanket

Hello all, I hope you had a great weekend and  are having a great week so far. I'm still trying to catch up on my lost time from this weekend. It was spent doing science projects with my kids.

My son had to do his project on the Crested Caracara bird.

This is his 3D model of it.

And then he had to do a food web model.

And of course a 2 page report on the animal too. All this for a 4th grader. They just didn't make it this hard when I was in elementary. Not even in private school.
My daughter is in third grade and she had to do the solar system.

While that was much easier, it was still very time consuming.

This kid said it best about school projects...

Okay, okay moving on...
I made this blanket for a very dear friend of mine.

Can you guess what she is having?
A BABY! LOL, a baby boy!

I found this super soft, thick, plush yarn at Joann's
Its By Bernat, and it came in a one pound bulk skein.

You will need the large oblong loom.

You will be doing a flat panel.

Start at at the beginning peg and work your way around.
But DO NOT JOIN.

Instead stop at the last peg before the beginning peg, and start wrapping back the opposite way. You continue going back and forth until you reach your desired length.

Let me tell you, you really have to be careful. I accidentally joined about 3 times. Not fun having
to go back and unravel and start over :(

This will make it one big baby blanket. Mine measured 33 inches across and 33 inches long.
You can learn how to loom knit here.
I loved how it turned out, and so did my friend. I think now since I have some pics for it, (and soon I'll have some with her baby and the blanket) I'll post it on Etsy.
Would you be interested in purchasing one? If so please contact me.

Thanks so much for tuning in! Until next time...
(which is tomorrow for Worthwhile Wednesdays)
