Lego Gummies

I finally made these!

I've wanted to make these ever since I first saw the molds and now I have them, and this Mama made some!

I found a super easy recipe to follow and its fairly inexpensive.

Okay, so first I purchase these Lego molds. Actually, they aren't really Lego brand, but that's because they were cheaper.

I found a super cool video King Random, and he makes it look super easy.

What you will need:

1 package of Jello

2 packages of Knox Gelatin

 1/4 cup of light corn syrup 

(such as Karo)

1/4 cup of  cold water

First measure 1/2 cup of cold water

Add corn syrup until the line measures 3/4 cup

 

Stir together with a fork until the water

is clear again.

Add water and corn syrup to a sauce pan

(do not put on heat yet).

Add in 2 packages of Knox gelatin.

Add in Jello package

(I used peach for this batch).

Stir together until the powder disappears. 

It will clump up like this.

Place on medium heat and stir.

Keep stirring.

It will eventually start to get clearer.

It will have small bubbles and lumps.

Let cool for 10 minutes and then transfer to a glass.

 Let it sit for about 30 minutes.

All of the cloudy mix will rise to the top.

Get a spatula.

and remove the cloudy gumminess.

Then transfer into a container with a spout.

Pour mixture into your molds, but pour slowly.

Let the mixture sit for at least 5 hours.
