Hello all you crafty readers! Happy Luck of the Irish Day!
I am told I have a pinch of Irish in me. My biological grandfather was supposedly of Irish decent. Ehh who knows, lol. I may have spent a few times in my 20's celebrating, but these days I just wear a touch of green. My daughter and I made some green rainbow loom bracelets to wear today.
Anywho... I am so excited to announce my guest blogger today!
Please welcome MJ from
She will be sharing her paper bag tutorial, and surprise, its Green! Don't know if she planned it that way, but if not it worked out Beautifully!
Paper Gift Bag Tutorial
Hi, I'm MJ and I blog over at Little Panda Crafts. Allie is so sweet to have me over today! :)
Today I want to share a super quick and easy paper gift bag tutorial. I don't know about you, but I am constantly making and giving away gifts. With a big family and tons of other friends, I always need some gift bags! But why bother buying some when you could make your own?
Gather your materials. You only need some washi tape (regular tape can work too, I just wanted to make the bag prettier) and a sheet of pretty or colored paper. The size of the paper depends on how big you want your gift bag to be. I used an 8 x 8 inch sheet.
Fold two sides of the paper in, as shown, with one side slightly overlapping the other.
Tape the side down onto the other with washi tape.
Fold the bottom of the paper up.
Now push the two sides apart, flattening down.
Fold the other sides in, as shown.
Tape the bottom of the bag with washi tape. I was still in the process of adding tape strips, so make sure you cover the base properly! :)
Put your hand inside the bag, from the top, and "open" the bag so it can stand. Then add handles if you want. You can use string, twine, etc.
I hope you find this tutorial helpful! I plan on making plenty more bags! Thanks so much to Allie for having me over!
love love love! MJ
