DIY Oil Infused Car Freshner

Hello, yes its true, after a long stretch of posting the bare minimum I'm back.

Have you heard of Ameo essential Oils?

Ameo Oils are  essential oils naturally-produced obtained from roots, flowers, fruit, bark, stems and other elements of a botanical.

Ameo seems to have more different options than other essential oil companies.

Adreonna was kind enough to let me use to sample of their oils.

I decided to make some car fresheners.

I've seen oil infused clay pendants and thought hmm, a car freshener would be AWESOME!

First I used pulled out some sky blue
polymer clay.

First take a pin roller or anything really that you can roll and flatten the clay.

I used this cookie cutter to cut my butterfly shape.

To make the hole I used the end of a skewer.

I received peppermint and lavender as my samples.

I used the peppermint on half of the batch of butterflies and put about two drops on each side.
Then I used the Lavender on the other batch and again used two drops each side.

Let that dry for about 12 hours.

Then I used pink and white yarn to string them.

I immediately ran out and put one in my car...

and then put the rest up in baggies!

I should have enough for at least a year, and I may give some out for gifts!

Thanks so much for tuning in!
Until Next Time...

  1. What a great idea!! I have seen those pendants as well and think they make great car air fresheners. The store bought ones always give me a headache for the first day or two. Thank you for sharing at Merry Monday!

  2. Very cute. I've seen different ideas for making these up (incl the tacky little clothespin one - hope you didn't make that one up if so - sorry). This is really cute. I and my 7 year old just made up some clay pendants. I actually did some coiled circles that turned out really neat and I'll put some oils on those for when we have colds, allergies, headaches, etc.... Awesome tute! Thanks!
