Easy to make Pot Holders, just in time for Thanksgiving and Christmas!

Well Hi You Guys! How was you Weekend? How was you Moanday?
I survived another busy weekend myself. Just not enough hours during the weekend,Sigh.
On Sunday, the kids and I spent the day at my mom's (A.K.A. Granny) house, and we spent the day making some of these pot holders. Good ole Mom taught me a new way fun, and easy way.
I have to say too I love the design!
So lets begin...

Chain 40

Row 1 Single chain into the first chain, and continue to single chain for the whole row.
Row 2 instead of flipping, you'll just go around to the other side making a circle and continue to single chain.

Continue single chains in each chain, and continue going around and                                                                around in a circle. It will look begin to look kind like a boat.

But really you want those corners to fold over. Just keep single chaining all the way around until the corners are touching each other and making two triangles.

It will look like this, which makes a square.

Just make sure that the triangle touch each other, then slip stitch the two triangles together. If it doesn't look quite right, you probably need to do another row.

Look you could also make it into a hand bag/make up holder.

After slip stitching it together it should look like this

I also made a larger green one. I still only chained 40 but I did a single and a half chain instead of a single which made it bigger. Now I have one for those baking pans!

Hope this tutorial helped! I loved making them, and I can't wait to make more for some of the ladies in my family! How cute would it be to make some with Christmas colors.

Thanks for tuning in! Until next time...

    1. Awe, that would be so cute for her to make. If she is more of a video gal I did some searching and found a tutorial on how to make them, but I chained 40. My mom only chained 35 and her's was small.
