Halloween Mummy Hot Dogs

This is such an easy, tasty and fun treat. I can't take the credit for it though. My mom made these with the my kids this weekend. When I saw them I just had to do a post on them.

It was so easy and fun, and the kids ate them right up.

You will need:

 2 packages of  Crescent rolls
1 package of Cheese Beef Hot Dogs

Use a pizza cutter to cut the uncooked crescent rolls into very small strips. Get creative and wrap the strips around the uncooked dogs and bake per the rolls instructions.

Remove them from the oven while they are barely brown, but mainly still white. Of course check to make sure its cooked. It won't take long to cook since they are cut into strips. So watch them quickly.

For the eyes, you can use two small pieces of cheddar cheese, ketchup or mustard.

Have fun making these tasty treats!

Thanks so much for tuning in! Until next time...

You can Paint!

I can paint, we all can paint!
Has anyone ever been to a wine and painting class?
Oh you know where you and a friend, or a bunch of friends, go and take a painting class. You're allowed to bring in wine and drink while you paint.
They give you a canvas. On this canvas they draw in pencil what you'll be painting. So basically all you have to do is follow the instructions given by the instructor, and you're set.
Now I can't guarantee that even with it being outlined on the canvas for you, that you won't mess up. I mean come on just look at mine.

They say wine is good to drink as it looses you up, and helps you to paint more freely, and that it does. Just don't get to free with your brush motions, there is a pattern to follow, lol.

I went on Monday night with my sister. I love doing those kind of things with her. Its just so relaxing for us.
We met another couple there. A woman and her mom. They were so nice and just as silly as us.
That makes it fun as well!

Here are some pictures from the evening.

Here's my sister posing for me. We were just about to get started.

This is the art we were supposed to be making.

This is our instructor. She had already done a pair of heels, so she decided
to do a pair of all Red Dorothy type heels!

This is my final art work. It was still wet though.
And look at my hands, Proof I did paint that hideous pair of heels.

But my sister and I still held our head high and took pride in our paintings.

And here is the instructor' all red shoes.

And this is the final painting product from the instructor. Her's turned our quite nice. And  a lot nicer without the glare of my flash.

It was an experience I will never forget. And we fully plan to come back for more and more.
The particular place you can go if you live in The DFW area is Texas U Can Paint.
They are located, in Southlake ,TX

Thanks for tuning in! Until next time!

Baby Fringe Blanket Photo Prop

Hi guys! Hope all of you had a wonderful weekend. I myself had a jam pack weekend. I thought today I would get some rest, but as luck would have it, I'd be busy with 3 more knitting orders. That's ok, better on Sunday, then trying to squeeze it all in over the week.

Today, I thought hey, I think I'll show my readers how to make one. Its very simple. Well I say its simple. If you can knit or crochet for the base part you'll have not trouble.

The first thing you'll want to do is select you colors. Once you do that then select different textures and different shades of that color. My client wanted neutral colors. I am assuming its so she can use it on both boy and girl newborn shoots.

Cut each piece about 3 feet long.

Once you select the yarn, then select a cheaper wool color for the base part. I picked an off white wool cheap yarn.

Chain 26, then double chain all the back down, when you go back to the end of that row, then chain one and flip it over and double chain. Crochet 10 rows.

This for sure can also be knitted, it just so happens that I can crochet better than I knit.

If you have trouble doing either of those, I also saw a video on youtube; that shows you how to make one with a doily.

After you have made your base then group you yarn strands together. I used 7 pieces of yarn per hole.

Find your holes, and slip the yarn through the hole and then make a knot.

Continue filling all the holes, all the way around.  My wonderful husband put up with all the yarn in the bedroom. I decided to do it in there so I could watch the Cowboys game with him. Ya, I know that was a waste of time. There was yarn everywhere. He helped me group my yarn together and he even let me borrow his bent knee to rest the blanke on while making it during at least half the game, lol.

Its hard to spread it out on the floor but this is what it looks like done.

And this is what it looks like in a basket. Thankfully my newest client/and now friend is going to take pictures of a baby in it for me. Muchas Gracias Pamela!

Thanks for tuning in! Have a great week! Until next time...
